2003 ford escape recall

Mazda's version of the Ford Escape will add 106,000 vehicles to the number recalled earlier this week by the world's second-largest automaker. In the Mazda action, the vehicle in question is the Tribute, the Mazda-badged version of the popular Ford compact ute. The recall involves the vehicles' potential for stalling as it decelerates from about 40 mph; the NHTSA has collected complaints from owners but no fatalities have been linked to the problem.
