Five Hundred: This mid-size four-door takes its physical cues from such classic European sedans as the Volkswagen Passat. The chassis, engineered in part by Volvo, is all-new to Ford and is shared with the new Freestyle wagon. The Five Hundred can be purchased in all-wheel-drive, although front-wheel is the standard. Freestyle: Ford refers to this new seven-passenger model, a companion to the Five Hundred sedan, as a "crossover," but it really resembles a domestic version of the Volvo Cross Country wagon. Features include all-wheel drive, fold-in-floor third-row seating, full-length side curtain air bags that protect all three rows. The chassis is derived from the Volvo P2X platform, which underpins the V70 wagon, as well as the S60 and S80 sedans.
