The Focus recall involves 358,857 four- and five-door cars and wagons originally sold or now registered in 20 "salt belt" states and the District of Columbia. Corrosion could damage the rear door locks, preventing them from latching properly and possibly causing the door to open unexpectedly when the car is moving. Dealers will inspect the latches and add a lower rocker seal to the door.
